Medicis Patents Pigmentation Treatments l Patent No. US 6,964,776 B2: Compositions for the treatment of pigmentation disorders and methods for their manufacture have been patented by Scottsdale, AZ-based Medicis Pharmaceuticals Corp. Regulations for this skin benefit composition must comprise hydroquinone, a cationic salt of acidic ascorbyl esters and a protected retinoid. The composition must also have a pH of about 5.5 to about 8.0....
